Connect BlueSnap M6A On Windows

Connect BlueSnap M6A Windows using SerialMagic Keys. Sent RS232 data wirelessly as keystrokes to any Windows application with no programming. There are two SerialMagic Keys applications: SerialMagic Keys Professional from Microsoft Store; SerialMagic Professional. Here we’ll show how to connect BlueSnap M6A wireless RS-232 dongle with SerialMagic Keys Professional.

Note: The BlueSnap M6A replaces the old BlueSnap Classic 2.1 dongle that was end-of-life in 2023. Contact Serialio.com for how to migrate your apps to BlueSnap M6A.

Install SerialMagic Keys Professional

First, Install SerialMagic Keys Professional (SMKP) from the Microsoft Store. Contact Serailio.com for sideload options if Microsoft Store is disabled at your site. Next, when SMKP launches verify the driver is installed as shown below, if not, there is a link to install the driver.  The driver is built-in to Windows 11 build 22621.2134 and later.

Now use Select Device and pick the device you will connect SMKP to, then tap Connect.

When prompted to pair device tap Allow and you’ll have the wireless connection succeeded confirmation. It’s that easy to connect BlueSnap M6A on Windows.

Now the BlueSnap M6A wireless RS232 dongle is  connected put the cursor where you want your data posted as keystrokes. Post RFID-NFC scans, barcodes, scale wights, caliper measurements, sensor readings, whatever. Note: after you have paired the wireless M6A adapter using SerialMagic Keys Professional, you can then connect to it with SerialMagic Professional.
