Wireless Caliper Measurements macOS with SerialMagic Scripts
Post wireless caliper measurements to macOS from your Fowler Sylvac Ultra Cal V with RS232 cable. First connect the and BlueSnap to the cable and connect to macOS with SerialMagic Scripts. Second power on the BlueSnap and connect to SerialMagic Scripts macOS. Third put the cursor where you want your data posted. Finally make caliper measurements and they are posted wirelessly on your macOS device.
Wireless Enable Fowler Sylvac Caliper
First you use your Fowler Sylvac Ultra Cal V caliper to connect via RS-232 connector to post measurements with SerialMagic Scripts. Now you connect your caliper cable to a BlueSnap*, now you wirelessly post your digital caliper readings to macOS. Next power on the BlueSnap, find it in SerialMagic Scripts FOUND devices, and use Connect.
*BlueSnap with Caliper Firmware option is needed.
SerialMagic Scripts Set For Enter After Measurement
With SerialMagic Scripts macOS default script “Scan Alert”, you see the caliper measurement in a pop-up. First you want thecaliper measurement posted at cursor location, then Enter key ‘pressed’. Now double-click on the “Post scan + the Enter key” script so the circled checkmark shows active next to it. Finally put the cursor where you want data posted and start taking measurements.
