Download Serialio Ltd. SOS (powered by Splashtop)

Important — Downloading Splashtop SOS alone is not enough to receive remote assistance. You must contact Serialio and explain the problem you are experiencing first. If you have not already done so, submit a ticket to our help desk. Also, note that the Splashtop SOS for iOS is limited to viewing only and Android devices require a few extra steps to allow remote control.
*Supported operating systems include Windows 10/8/7, Mac OS X 10.7+, iOS (iPhone, iPad), and Android.

Remote Firmware Flash Instructions

These instructions are for performing a remote firmware flash (or troubleshooting session) on Scanfob brand barcode scanners, including the Scanfob 2006, Scanfob 3002i, Scanfob 4000i/n, and KeyBatch BR2.

What you will need:

  • A Windows computer for which you have administrative rights
  • Your scanner
  • Your scanner’s USB cable (plugged into your Windows PC)
  • Your scanner’s Quick Start Guide


Note: For typical support session, skip steps A and B, are only needed to load scanner firmware.

A. Download and install Appload (click here to download).Appload downloads as a .zip file so you will need to extract it before you can install it.

B. If you haven’t already, install the drivers for your scanner (see SerialMagic Professional Windows10 app, it has option to install them).The driver installer also downloads as a .zip file so you will need to extract it before you can install it.

1. Download and install Splashtop SOS (the download will start immediately).

2. Launch Splashtop SOS.

3. Give your 9-digit access code to the support representative you are working with.
