How to Setup an AllFlex RFID Stick Reader for use with SerialMagic Professional. This document outlines how to configure an AllFlex Stick Reader RFID scanner to use with SerialMagic Professional. 1) Power on the AllFlex RFID Stick Reader 2) Download and Install the AllFlex Stick Reader Configurator, found here: 3) Use the AllFlex Stick Reader Configurator to change the Field Delimiter to NONE
4) Next, launch SerialMagic Professional software on the host device that is to receive data. 5) "STOP" SerialMagic if it is running. Goto Setup > Select Device, and choose "Other" as the device type. Click OK.
6) Next, goto Setup > Actions, and set the Start Flag to NONE, to match the "Field Delimiter" of Stick Reader.
7) Now that the AllFlex Stick Reader and SerialMagic software have been configured to work with each other, 8) Once Connected, SerialMagic status will say "Connected." You may hear an audio tone and feel a vibration. 9) Next, simply minimize SerialMagic (if it is still in the foreground), launch your target application (Excel, Word, etc.) 10) As long as SerialMagic and the AllFlex Stick Reader are Connected, wherever the cursor is that is where the data will go!
