The BlueSnap RS-232 Bluetooth radio dongle provides seamless connectivity for most any RS-232 serial devices. The BlueSnap Standard Bluetooth module can be used to Bluetooth enable virtually all legacy RS-232 devices to most all platforms that support Bluetooth Serial port profile (Spp). This includes BlackBerry, PalmOS, Symbian, OS X, Linux, Windows Mobile (Pocket PC, Classic, Professional), Windows Mobile Smartphone, Windows Vista / XP.

The BlueSnap can be configured over a standard RS-232 cable using any terminal software such as HyperTerm. It can act as a Bluetooth Master, or Bluetooth Slave. BlueSnap parameters like Bluetooth device name and passkey (aka PIN number) can be easily can be programmed using most standard serial terminal software like HyperTerm. BlueSnap devices can also be easily configured using the "Setup Remote BlueSnap" feature on SerialMagic Professional.
