This document outlines how to use SerialMagic Professional software, running on an iPaq 110 Windows Mobile 6 (WM6) device, to capture data from a Pneu-Logic Tyre probe.

Here are the main components of this setup:
1) HP iPaq 110 running Windows Mobile 6 Classic
2) SerialMagic Professional software for Pocket-PC
3) Pneu-Logic Bluetooth Tyre Probe
4) Excel spreadsheet on the handheld

First, you will need to download and install SerialMagic Professional for Windows Mobile (touch aka Pocket-PC) onto the handheld.

Next, launch SerialMagic Professional on the iPaq 110, or other compatible iPaq and power on the Pneu-Logic Tyre Probe.

Connect Pneu-Logic Tyre Probe
First, check to make sure that the Device Type is "Pneu-Logic Probe" (Go to Setup > Select Device)

Next, if the Tyre Probe is not the "last device", go to Setup > Connection, and make sure "Choose New Device" is selected.

Now, START SerialMagic to begin the connection process. SerialMagic will display a list of nearby Bluetooth Devices.
Select the device you wish to connect to, in this case "Pneu Logic Probe DDEM412." Then tap OK.

Next, enter the passkey for the Probe, the passkey is "1234." Then tap OK to complete the pairing / connection.
Once Connected, SerialMagic will minimize itself to the taskbar. If you bring up the application, you will see "Status: Connected."
Launch the target application (the application to receive the data), in this case Excel Mobile.
Place your cursor in the desired cell, and take a reading with the Probe. See the data appear in Excel, like magic!
