-Order-In-Hand mobile ordering system also supports Chinese characters (As seen by the screenshots below).
If SerialMagic detects Chinese characters in the item database, it will request the user to download a special font.

-Sample barcodes used are from "Sales order" example XLS sheet.
You can create any barcode you like for testing using this page:
http://serialio.com/Tools/Barcode/barcode_gen.php

-Scan a barcode, you should see the item on the screen. There are 2 options: Menu > Cancel, and Order.
If you don't make a selection, and scan another item, the items will simply stack on top of one another.
To make the item go away, you MUST use Cancel or Order.

-Next tap the customer icon on the Order info screen, and it will launch a list of customers to choose from.
When GPS is active, it will show nearby customers. When GPS is inactive, it will show all customers.
The menu can be used to "Show all" or "Show nearby" customers even when GPS is active.

-Customers can also be found by typing in first letters of the Customer's name. Customer details can be displayed by tapping the "Details" link.
After customer is selected, the quantity number pad will be displayed to enter the Quantity.
When the quantity of the item is 1 (one) simply tap the OK button (i.e. no need to tap "1" then OK).

-After the Customer ID and Quantity are entered, tap OK to post the record to the Grid-In-Hand order form.
GIH (Grid-In-Hand) can also be displayed in landscape mode on phones which support it.

-The user continues to add items to the order by scanning them and posting them to the order form as shown in the following screens.
Note: SerialMagic remembers the Customer, so it only needs to be entered after starting SerialMagic or uploading an order.
Note: The price and comment fields can be changed before selecting the quantity to add the item to the order.

- To enter items when the UPC barcode is unavailable, just scan the ~PIDFIND barcode.
This barcode can be prepared using Serialio's Barcode Generator, and taped to the back of the phone for convenience.
Click here to create and print the ~PIDFIND barcode using Serialio.com's free barcode creator.
The user can scan this barcode and will be able to enter an order item by entering the item ID manually on the keypad.

-When the user is ready to upload (send) the order, they simply tap "Upload" on the Grid-In-Hand view.
The order will be immediately saved then sent to the location setup on iScanList.com account (see below-left).
If an Internet connection is not available when the upload request is made, the list will be uploaded once a connection becomes available (see below-right).
Data is sent according to the associated account settings on iScanList.com. e.g. list can be emailed, sent to FTP site, even put directly into SQL database.

-The data is processed on iScanList.com per account settings. In this example the server has mapping enabled,
with .XLS (Excel spreadsheet) chosen as the output format. iScanList.com has a number of configurable settings including:

-Options to send file to Email (copies can be sent to multiple addresses), upload to FTP server, or MySQL Database Server
