This bug exists on all Widcomm driver releases through Dec, 15 2003 and has not yet been reported resolved.

The problem occurs when a connection made via the virtual com port (Spp service) is not active. Data sent on the virtual comm port when the connection is inactive, will cause the Widcomm driver to lockup. This has been tested with a connection using non-overlapped IO.

Identical code works fine on Mac OS X. See note on OS X Bluetooth.
