The Demo of the Java SerialPort class provides a very simple terminal program that allows you to access serial ports on your computer with the following restrictions. These restrictions do not exist in the actual product.
- The port parameters are fixed to: 9600 bps, No parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit.
- No flow control.
- Only values of 0-127 will be returned.
- Windows95/98/Me/NT/2K/XP (SerialPort works on Windows 2003, and Windows Vista, but the demo does not)
